AutoCAD Issue
I have a student with severe mobility issues. She is able to use AutoCAD 2024 with the help of a Wacom tablet. This works great except for the pan and zoom functions. The stylus highlights the buttons, but will not click on the button. She is not able to use the "mouse" buttons on the stylus. My IT guy and I have done all the normal troubleshooting of the software and 2 different tablets have the same problem. AutoDesk Support forums suggested I try here.
Please Help!

Hi William Parsons,
So if I understand correctly, your student uses the pen and tablet fine and is able to draw and use other functions, except for Pan and Zoom.
I assume she is trying to use the Navigation Bar correct?
https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-17225A0F-7A50-41B9-8404-7D415518DEFBSince the pen functions work normally otherwise, I do not think this is an issue with the Wacom Driver, or the Pen tablet itself.
I did find another user reporting a similar issue: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/autocad-viewcube-and-navbar-stops-responding/td-p/8564208
Can you please try this solution and let me know if that helps?

I'm using an Intuos tablet. Recently I've been having trouble, mainly with Autodesk products but also to a lesser extent with Adobe products. The click has stopped working for some commands. The number of commands affected is increasing. All drivers are up to date. Any suggestions?

Hi Chris Parkin,
Sorry to read that.
Which Operating System and Wacom driver version?
If I understand correctly, this happens when using a key with a pen click/tap? Could this be a physical issue with the pen tip or pen button perhaps?
Please contact the support team and provide a more clear description and examples of what you are facing. If you could provide a video and logs, that would be a huge plus!

Hi Joao
Windows 11, driver 10.0.22621.4111.
The issue started a year or two ago, and it's been getting more pronounced.
I don't think it's an issue with the pen itself, because it works for most commands but consistently doesn't work with some commands.
Also strange things happen. For example if I open an Autodesk Revit drawing with a pen click, the drawing opens but the cursor disappears. If I open the drawing with a mouse click, all is fine.
Our IT guy suggests that the Intuos tablet maybe isn't up to the job and I need an alternative.

Hi Chris Parkin,
I am not too familiar with that App but usually either our driver works or it doesn't.
Have you tried disabling Window Ink from the tablet settings?

I have the same issue. I can use pan command on one my buttons on the tablet. I can also use pan command on one of the buttons on Pro pen. It looks okey so far. The problem comes here; while I draw a polyline I should pan and click and pan and click somewhere again. This is not possible because my shortcuts both Express keys and Pro pen is "p+enter" P for pan command enter for does the command. So this is the outline of the problem that I have for 5 years. Finally today I nailed it. The SOLUTION is you need Realtime Pan which can be activated '_pan command. You can use it on your Wacom tablet either assigning on one of the Express keys or Pro pen keys.
