Wacom Tablets all have the same disconnecting issue and no solution to the problem
I've thus far gone from the Bamboo to Intuous Pen & Touch, back in Early 2014... no issues.
Upgraded to Wacom 13hd years back and suddenly the tablet will be usable for a few minutes before the Wacom Center disconnects for a few seconds and then re-connects, and it will repeat this issue every few min. I have had this issue on multiple pc's with different tablets each time.
Now I went and got a Movink thinking it would solve this issue, but NOPE! After every clean uninstall and install of every current up-to-date driver has yielded no solution and even contacting Wacom support is worthless as they will tell me to uninstall the driver for the 50th time, and that deleting all associated files would fix it, but nope!
I think I need to refund the Movink and move to a different brand, because this actually ridiculous how Wacom customers are treated.
Current pc/laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 7, and all previous pc's had this same issue when connecting to pen displays. No other brand does this but Wacom!

Hi Mbugua Munyutu,
Which other tablets did you try besides the Cintiq 13 and the Movink? These two models are many years apart and have very different connection schematics.
Let's first focus on the Movink.
- First of all, make sure that on the connection side, everything is working as it should and that you get a stable image connection. Please see:
https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/21655615182871-How-do-I-connect-my-Wacom-Movink-to-my-Windows-PC-or-Mac-Computer
In case you don't manage to get an image on the display, please see: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006336902-My-Wacom-Pen-Display-has-no-image-on-the-screen-What-do-I-do
- If and when the disconnection occurs, please open the Wacom Center and check if the device is still detected, and if there are any error messages. Restart the driver and see if that re-establishes the connection
The connection issue can be due to hardware or software but from your description, it is no very clear yet where the issue.

The tablet display works properly and does not disconnect. What keeps disconnecting is the Wacom Center program. Every minute the Wacom Center will stop showing my tablet device for a few seconds, and then re-connects shortly after.
- I followed this procedure to install: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/21655615182871-How-do-I-connect-my-Wacom-Movink-to-my-Windows-PC-or-Mac-Computer
- AND followed this procedure to uninstall (manually), before trying to install the driver again: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006264601-How-do-I-uninstall-and-re-install-the-Wacom-driver-on-Windows-for-a-Pen-Tablet-Pen-Display-or-Pen-Computer
I have had this issue re-occurring on the Wacom Cintiq 13hd and the Movink, even after doing a clean uninstall and install of the driver. This ONLY happens with Wacom display devices, which have shown to have buggy Drivers for years.
I am not talking about a display issue, I am specifically talking about a faulty program: Wacom Center,
This program does NOT WORK properly!
This is almost the 30th time I've had to do this, and I should consider swittching brands years ago! :(
Sometimes it will work perfectly, then the next time I plug the tablet in it starts the issue again.

Hi Mbugua Munyutu,
Does this happen with only 1 computer or several computers? I cannot replicate this issue but I assume that I would need to test this for a long period.
Would you mind collecting some logs to capture the issue and share them with the support team?
How to contact support: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402518273943-How-do-I-contact-Wacom-Support
Note: I understand that this is not a display issue. All pen displays will have the display component and a pen (and sometimes touch) component which are 100% independent from each other.
The display component will always work regardless if the Wacom Center is installed or not.0 -
I will try and collect the logs, as thus far I have had this issue only happen with the Wacom display tablets. I never encountered this issue with the Intuos 3.
I see. Based on that info, it feels like the pen components are having issues and constantly rebooting, which causes the Wacom Center to reset itself and reconnect a device, if that is the case.
