Wacom Center not synchronizing
I just upgraded to Mac OS Ventura 13.5.2. I bought a new Wacom bluetooth Intuous to replace my previous Intuous 3.
I download the driver and installed it but first kept getting error messages that the DataStore was corrupt. Then when I opened the Wacom Center, it said 'waiting for synchronization' but eventually a window popped up saying 'the tablet driver is not responding' and to restart the Wacom Center. I've uninstalled all things related to Wacom, redownloaded the driver and reinstalled several times, as well as rebooted my computer several times. Nothing seems to work.
When I first plugged the Intuous into my computer, I was able to connect to Bluetooth, so my tablet is showing up and connected wirelessly ... but whether I'm connected via Bluetooth or with the cable attached to my computer - the driver isn't working, so the pen is not responding. I've been using a Wacom for many years, so trying to work with only the trackpad is difficult.
Very frustrating!! What should I do next to make this work?

Did you try to install and set up the driver in macOS as explained in https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/9753655984663-Is-there-a-driver-for-macOS-13-Ventura-?
Please see as well:

I'm experiencing the exact same issue right now! Incredibly frustrating!

That error means something is your system is blocking the driver from running. I see that you already checked the permissions mentioned above so there is probably a 3rd party at play here. Please check our guide here:

That solved it!!
Thank you João!0 -

even what you mentioned I have checked them but the issue still exist .

Then please check with the support team.
Those messages can only mean that something in your system is blocking the driver from running.

how do we check with the support team? i'm sooooo frustrated having gone through a similiar nightmare - i have same OS, different tablet, same problems. reboots, all the tried workarounds, nothing works.

I resolved the issue after the support team advised me to enable the below

Another thing to try that worked for me was going to System Settings > General > Login Items. Under the "Allow in the Background" section, make sure Wacom is turned on. THEN, go back to Accessibility settings, highlight "com.wacom" (Do not uncheck.) and hit the "-" (minus) button at the bottom of the panel. Then, Restart the computer. After that, wacom center started up normally and walked me through setup.

Thank you Rachel! It worked for me as well!

Thank you, Rachel! It worked! What a relief! I found your post only after much time spent with Wacom tech support and following their instructions which didn't work.

Does anyone else have this problem: There's no such thing as "com.wacom" listed in Accessibility? So I can not allow, neither remove it. And Wacom Center is not working. I have macOS Sequoia 15.7.1.
I've read all the tips and done all the steps including many uninstallations, downloads without firewall, reinstallations without internet connection... and only thing I can't do - as it doesn't exist - is to give permission to "com.wacom".
I contacted support two times, but they can't help me with this anymore and don't know why is that not automatically coming to the list with the driver. "Wacom_IOManager" can be added to the list, but not "com.wacom". Other permissions in system preferences are given just as advised.

Hi Saara B,
The IOManager is the only component you will need really need under accessibility. Actually IOManager is com.wacom but in some systems, it is displayed differently.
I understand you already tried the steps here bellow but can you please try the following:
- Disable Wacom from running on the background
- Reboot the Mac
- Re-enable again
- Reboot again
Sometimes the permission doesn't register properly and a refresh and reboot might be necessary.

Hi João,
support said that com.wacom should be listed and something went wrong in the downloading. I told them that IOManager is showing.
After many hours of doing absolutely everything I found from these links, I added TabletDriver and WacomTabletDriver from the hidden .Tablet -folder to Accessibility and FINALLY the Wacom Center started working.
But what such a waste of time it was to read all the tips and articles and contact support twice, and nobody suggested that it was about those damn hidden files.
Thank you all anyways, I'm hoping that my new tablet continues working as it should!

Hi Saara B,
Glad to hear that worked out for you. Pardon for not suggesting this earlier. I really though you had already done these manual steps.

Hi João,
I really did everything I found from articles linked to me. The hidden .Tablet -folder and dragging those files was only mentioned in some video tutorial that I found lastly. Support just didn't confirm it was ok to have only IOManager listed there instead of com.wacom, and that the hidden files should be added also.
I'm very sorry for complaining, but when software says that "if not working, we can help you" it was just so frustrating not to get all the things checked by them (as they also asked for screenshots and if I have given other permissions in preferences).

Hi Saara B,
No need to apologize. I will review this with the team so that we are more efficient in the future.

João Saara B I think i ran into the exact same issue;
Could you please elaborate more on either what video (url) explains about the hidden folder, or where to find it (exact path), so i can try these same steps, and also for others stumbling upon this frustrating issue?-- edit:
Though the symptoms looked the same, my issue turned out to be an overactive firewall on my companies computer that made the installer _silently_ fail. After releasing these files i ran the installer another time and now everything worked as expected.
Leaving this message because still links could be helpful for others.0 -
